Kindergarten - Pre Registration

    Unit Seven Schools have set kindergarten pre-registration for the students who will be attending kindergarten in the fall of 2005.  Any parent who has a child that will attain the age of five by September 1, 2005 should plan to attend and register the child at the appropriate school, as listed below.

  <>  The purpose of the registration evening is to provide information to parents regarding our Kindergarten program and to provide the Unit Seven Staff with information on the number of kindergarteners.  This information is needed for determining staffing needs and ordering books, supplies and materials.  A presentation will be made during registration regarding the kindergarten program and curriculum, it is not necessary for your child to attend but childcare will be provided, if needed. <> 
     Parents should bring a certified copy of their child’s birth certificate.  Each child will be given a medical examination form that must be completed prior to the start of the school year, which will be during the latter part of August.  Registration fees should be paid during the normal registration period in August. <> 
     If parents are unable to attend the registration or if they have any questions, they should call the appropriate school office.  In order to make adequate plans for next year, Unit Seven would like for ALL kindergarten registrations to be completed by April 15, 2005. <> 
     Unit Seven Schools hope to make the transition to kindergarten a positive and pleasant experience for both the children and the parents.
     Registration will be on April 7, 2005 at 6:30 p.m. at the following schools:  Students from Pesotum, Sadorus and Tolono will register at Unity West Elementary (217) 485-3918; and students from Philo and Sidney will register at Unity East Elementary (217) 684-5218.
