Meeting began at 6:35p.m. with Clint Fairow, Tracy Welch, Brooke Didier, Mary Weaver, Jeff Fisher, and Janet Brown.

 

The winners from the backpack drawing that was going on during Registration were Stacy Palmasiano and Lisa Selle.

 

Brooke Didier will be sending a thank you letter to Phyllis Cler.

 

Jeff Fisher will be checking into Bank Champaign to see if the rates are comparable to the rates we are getting now.

 

Motion was made to have Lynn Rice take over the Treasurer position and to place the CD’s on a spreadsheet for easier reporting.  Motion carried.

 

There is an Open House at Unity West on September 7^th Brooke Didier and Clint Fairow will be our representatives that night.

 

There will be an Open House at Unity East on September 14^th and Clint Fairow and Tracy Welch will be our representatives.

 

OLD BUSINESS A deposit was made of $360.00 consisting of raffle tickets and rug money.  Lee Reifsteck is out selling and distributing raffle tickets.

 

 Discussion on the Hawaiian shirts and the agreement was no embroidery was necessary.

 

Grant Application committee will be meeting on August 31, 2006 @ 6:30p.m..  The committee members are Tracy Welch, Brooke Didier, and Clint Fairow.

 

There will be no fall grants since the committee is revamping the application and supply us  with a rubic.

 

Auction committee will be meeting on September 14^th at 4:30p.m. before the open house at Unity East.  Mary Weaver, Brooke Didier and Tracy Welch are on that committee.

 

Membership Drive mailings were discussed and a motion by Brooke Didier, seconded by Clint Fairow  to move forward with the  2006 membership drive mailings.  Brooke Didier to contact Tim Gately for the rocket logo for the letter. .  Mary Weaver will be preparing the letter for mailing.  Jan Brown will call the Post Offices for number of box holders from each town.

 

We discussed a welcome letter to teachers with some type of treat in the letter.

 

Game table and raffle tickets were discussed.  We need to obtain Phil  Morrison’s permission to draw the winning ticket at the last home football game.  Brooke Didier agreed to email Deanna Stacy to sell if the office will sell raffle tickets.

 

Brooke Didier will compose a letter for the Kindergarten parents that will be handed out at the kindergarten screening times.
