Unit Seven recognizes that each and every student shall have the opportunity to achieve educational and social potential to their fullest extent possible.

Goals for students:

· To have the skills to become as independent as possible and participate in society as productive members

· To seek necessary resources, such as, information and training, in order to achieve independent functioning

· To leave school with a positive attitude and the desire to further themselves educationally and vocationally

· To have good self-esteem and confidence

Goals for unit seven:

· Classroom teachers to be willing and competent to work with a wide range of abilities among ALL students

· To serve students as individuals and address specific needs

· To successfully include students within the general education classroom

· To establish a partnership with family & community in providing a quality educational environment

· To prepare students to be confident, life-long learners and productive citizens by challenging them to reach their fullest potential
