The Unity Pre Kindergarten Program is a preschool program for three-to-five year old children who have a wide variety of abilities and needs. Families and children served by the program include those with special needs; such as speech/language delays, developmental delays, vision and/or hearing impairments, behavior disorders, or learning disabilities, and those children who may need social interaction in a structured setting prior to entering kindergarten. The staff is committed to meeting the individual needs of each child and to providing maximum opportunities for preschool-aged children to grow and learn together.
Our program serves children throughout the unit seven school district. Pre K screenings are held in the Fall and Spring to determine eligibility for the program. Contact Judy Rushton, 217-485-3890 with any questions/concerns regarding the program.
We currently have one classroom housed at Unity East Elementary, 1638 Cty. Rd., 1000 N., Philo 61864, 217-684-5218,
