Purpose:
|
In most instances you will
want to advance your slide manually by clicking the mouse.
However, you might have the need to go to a different slide at
times. Adding
an action button lets you jump to any slide, go backwards or forwards,
or stop a presentation.
|
1.
|
From the top toolbar,
click on Slide Show, then Action Button and choose which
action you
would like. For this tutorial we will add a button to return
to the first slide, so we have clicked on the Action Button: Home.
|
|

|
2.
|
The cursor becomes a cross
hair. In a corner where you want the button to appear, click and
drag to draw a small button. When you release the mouse, the action
button will appear in your presentation.
|
|

|
3.
|
Also the Action Settings
dialog box will appear. It is already checked to linked this
button to the first slide and other choices are available through the
pull-down arrow. You can also add a sound to the button by
checking Play Sound and
selecting a sound using the pull-down arrow. Once you have made
your selections, click OK.
Click on the Slide Show button
on the left bottom toolbar to see
this slide and then click on the newly created button to test it out.
