Making Objects Semitransparent
Purpose:  To make a picture lighter so that text or another object can be seen through it.
1.
Select the object you want to make semitransparent by clicking once on the object.  White squares will then appear around the object.

2.
Click the word Draw at the bottom of the screen and choose Ungroup.  You might be prompted to convert the graphic to a Microsoft Office drawing object.  Click Yes.

3.
Then click on the word Draw again and click Group.

4.
Right click on the picture and then click on Format Object.

5.
Click on the Colors and Lines tab.  Click in the box beside Semitransparent and then click OK.

6.
Now you can see through the graphic and place text over it.
