Find
and Replace
|
Purpose:
|
To replace
text/words with another word you want. For
example, you've typed a letter to a parent, and in the letter you've
mentioned the parent as Mrs. Jansen. Now you have found out that
the last name is actually spelled Janson and need to make those changes.

The Find and Replace dialogue box will be
displayed. Click on the Replace
tab. What we want to find is Jansen, so we'll
type that in the Find What window. We'll replace it with
Janson, so we'll type that in the Replace With window. We want
to replace all of them, so we'll click the Replace All button.

replaced with Janson. Just imagine if you had a lengthy document and
you had to replace all those names. It could take a while manually, but
the Find and Replace function
accomplishes the task instantly.
