AR will not be open to 2020-2021 UJHS students over the summer; however, students are still encouraged to read over the summer. Please keep a list of the titles that your student reads, and then he/she can test over the books during the first two weeks of school. AR is used as part of the ELA grades and will count as an assignment for each quarter. We will be using a simpler method this year for how AR figures into the ELA grades.
To encourage students to read, the library is offering this bingo card. After your student has completed a bingo, have him/her send Mrs. Wickline a note telling her what books were read. Every time a student submits a bingo, he/she will be entered into a drawing for a gift certificate to our fall book fair. A student can enter multiple times, and even complete the same row multiple times.
