Congratulations to the boys track team on their performance at the Monticello Invite. There were personal, meet, and school records broken. Highlights include: Spencer Taylor and Nathan Weakley placed 4th and 2nd in the triple jump, Boden Franklin placed 3rd in the high jump, Zach Brown placed 3rd in the 300 Hurdles, and Carson Kleparski placed 2nd in the pole vault. Meet Champion Kyle Burgoni broke the school record in the 200 meter dash with a time of 21.86. Currently the 2nd fastest time in the state. Additionally Kyle was the meet champion in the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.76. In doing so Kyle breaks the school record set in 1974. Burgoni currently holds the fastest time in the state of Illinois in the 100 meter dash. The Rockets will be back in action on Friday at home with the UHS Boys Invitational.

Congratulations to the Girls Track and Field team for being crowned the Rantoul Invitational Champions on Saturday.  The Rockets dominated the 12 team meet scoring 154 points and winning by 30 points.  Finishing in the top 3 were Shannon Flavin 3rd in the 100 meter dash, Harper Hancock 2nd in the 800, Erica Woodard and Caelyn Kleparski took 1st and 2nd in the 3200 respectively, Bri Ritchie was 2nd in both the 100 and 300 hurdles, the relay team of Kayla Nelson, Kyleigh Weller, Shannon Flavin, and Lauren Miller took 2nd in the 4x100 and 1st in the 4x200, the 4x400 team of Bri Ritchie, Caelyn Kleparski, Audrey Remole, and Harper Hancock took 3rd, the 4x800 team of Olivia Shike, Elizabeth Hulick, Harper Hancock, and Arianna Pruitt-Lefaivre took 2nd.  In the field events Audrey Remole won the high jump, Kayla Nelson won the long jump, Aly Bagwell took 2nd in the Shot Put, and Gracie Cox won the Discus with a throw of 129'2".  That is a new school record breaking a 43 year old record by Hall of Famer Janet Black.  The girls will compete again on Wednesday and the Spartan Classic in St Joe.
