Attention Students,

Personal cell phones and any other personal electronic devices must be off, not on silent or vibrate from 8:16 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. During the school day, those electronic communication devices are not to be used.  This includes, but is not limited to using your cell phone to communicate with a parent.  If you must contact your parent/guardian, you are to use the office phone.  DO NOT use your cell phone to contact a parent.  If it is determined that you used your cell phone to contact a parent, you will earn a Saturday School.

Attention Seniors: There are still 25 spots available for the Senior trip. See Mr Stringer and Mrs Kuetemeyer for more information. Check your Google classroom for details about the trip. 

Seniors the local Unity Scholarships are now available in the guidance office.  An email with the list of scholarships has been sent to your school email address.  Scholarships are due on Wednesday, April 20th at 8:20am. Please see your counselor with any questions.

On Tuesday, April 12th all juniors will take the Illinois Science Assessment. On Wednesday, April 13th all freshmen will take the PSAT 9, sophomores will take the PSAT 10, juniors will take the SAT with Essay and seniors will have a college day. Please see Mrs. Mills if you have any questions.  

Attention Rockets: The Unity Marching Band is looking for members to join the 2022/2023 Color Guard program. If you're interested in the fine arts or are looking to try something new that is both challenging and rewarding, please stop by the band room before next Wednesday, April 13th and talk to Mr. Cardiff. All students and grade levels are welcome. You don't have to be in band or have any prior experience to be in color guard to join. If you're not sure what color guard is, please stop in the band room and ask Mr. Cardiff for more information. 

Any Freshmen, Sophomore, or Junior class student interested in holding an officer position for the 2022-2023 school year can pick up a petition in the office or outside Room 7.  Completed petitions are due by Tuesday, April 12 at 3 PM.

 Seniors this is your final reminder to please make sure your cap and gowns areordered ASAP! Please make sure to keep your lunch accounts current and check on any fees or library fines you still owe!  All balances must be paid before graduation! 

The Girls Track and Field team brought home the championship trophy from the Carterville Lions Invitational this weekend.  The Rockets scored points in all 8 individual events on the track and 4 of the field events.  Winning medals for the Rockets were:  Kayla Nelson first in the Long Jump, second in the 100 and 200.  Lauren Miller, third in the 100 and 200.  4x800 team of Olivia Shike, Emily Decker, Josie Cler, and Ana Clark were first.  4x200 team of Kadence Goff, Paige Garretson, Tessah Williams, and Becca Carter was 3rd.  4x400 team of Ashlyn Denney, Harper Hancock, Josie Cler, and Camryn Reedy was first.  Bri Ritchie was first in the 300 hurdles and second in the 100 hurdles.  Erica Woodard was first in the 1600 and second in the 3200.  Camryn Reedy was third in the 3200.  Olivia Shike was 3rd in the 1600.  And Ashlyn Denney and Josie Cler took first and second in the 400.  The girls tallied 153 points running away with the meet.  

The Rockets will be at home this Thursday for the Unity Invite.
