Tech Career Exploration Night at Parkland College is tonight, September 20th, from 4-6 pm in Buildings W and T.  Visit parkland.edu/CteCareerNight to register and see what careers will be highlighted.

If you would like to enter a car or truck into the homecoming parade, please pick up a form in the office.  The cost is $5, and you must follow all rules stated on the form.  Forms are due by 3 PM on Wednesday, September 28.

Do you have books at home that you don't read any more? If you have any gently used books for grades K-12, you can put them in the box inside the library and they'll be donated to local kids in need of them. The book drive will go from September 11-30. Thank you and see Sophia Stierwalt with any questions. 

AP students: if you plan to take the AP Exam in the spring, you must sign up in the guidance office by October 3rd.

Anyone interested in wrestling this upcoming season, make sure to stop by and see coach Patton this week.

 

The girls’ cross country team won the Tuscola Classic on Saturday with Emily Decker leading the Rockets in 6th place. Erica Woodard was 8th, Mackenzie Pound 9th, and Olivia Shike 10th. Cami Reedy rounded out the score with a 15th place finish, Josie Cler was 21st, and Sophia Stierwalt took 29th to complete the top 7 finishes. 

 

Seniors and their parents are invited to attend Financial Aid Night on Monday, September 26th at 6pm in the high school auditorium. A college financial aid representative will be here to explain the financial aid process and answer your questions. See Mrs. Decker with any questions.

Attention all students.  You should have received a class list emailed to you.  Please check that your information is correct on the list.

The student section theme for the volleyball game tonight against St Joe is neon.  Show up in your brightest gear and support the team as they take down the Spartans.

The student section theme for Friday’s football game is America. Wear red, white, and blue! Flags and political clothing are NOT allowed.  See Kaitlyn Schweighart or Mr. Kleiss if you have questions about what is not allowed.

Congratulations to the Marching Rockets for a successful day at last Saturday's marching competition at Illinois Wesleyan University. The Marching Rockets swept all the caption awards which include, Best Auxiliary, Best Winds, and Best Percussion. They placed 2nd overall in their class. This Saturday they travel to Eastern Illinois University. Best of luck Marching Rockets!
