Letter from the Superintendent

Unity Families,

Welcome back to another exciting school year! I hope each of you had an opportunity to enjoy time with family and friends over the summer and are ready for another great year at Unity CUSD #7. Our staff has been hard at work preparing our buildings, classrooms, and campuses, and we are looking forward to welcoming our students back. We are especially excited to see everyone on Tuesday, August 18, as we begin another fantastic school year together.

As we begin the 2026-2027 school year, I want to thank our families, staff, and community for your continued support of our schools. Unity has always been a special place because of the partnership that exists between our schools and our communities. Together, we continue to make decisions that put our students first.

I also want to make everyone aware of an important change at the Unity High School/Junior High campus. Over the summer, the parking lot was restriped and is now designed as a one-way traffic pattern to improve traffic flow and, more importantly, increase student safety.

Please note the following traffic pattern:

  • If you enter from West Drive (Junior High side), you will travel one-way using the lane farthest from the school along the fence line.

  • If you enter from East Drive (High School side), you will travel one-way using the lane nearest the building.

Directional arrows have been painted throughout the parking lot, and we ask everyone to please follow the new traffic pattern. We believe this change will significantly improve traffic flow during our busiest times while creating a safer environment for students, staff, and visitors.

We are also excited to announce another new safety initiative. This year, every in-town bus stop throughout our commUNITY is now marked with a Unity Rockets "Launching Pad Bus Stop" sign. These signs help clearly identify designated bus stop locations while also serving as a reminder for motorists to use extra caution around students waiting for or exiting the school bus.

This project would not have been possible without the support of our entire community. We are incredibly grateful to the many townships, municipalities, and community members who partnered with us to make these signs a reality. It is another great example of what can be accomplished when our commUNITY comes together with a shared commitment to student safety.

Thank you for your continued support of Unity CUSD #7. We look forward to seeing our students on Tuesday, August 18, and to another outstanding school year filled with learning, growth, and success.

Have a wonderful start to the 2026-2027 school year, and as always...

Go Rockets!

Sincerely,

Dr. Brian Brink
