Unity West Families, starting tomorrow, our 3rd-5th grade students will be taking the IAR state assessment. Please encourage your student(s) to do their very best on the assessment. A few things to talk with your student about:
1. Get a good night's sleep and eat a good breakfast! (Our brain’s need to be ready)
2. This test is about showing growth, so students just need to do their best. If there are things they don’t know, that is OK.
3. Make sure they take their time, read the passages, problems, and go back to edit their extended responses.
If you have a K-2 grade student, please encourage them to be respectful and quiet in the hallways and to cheer on our older students.

Unity West Families, we will utilize our Rainy Day Dismissal procedure today. All bus riders will be dismissed at 2:45. Car riders will stay in their classrooms. When the buses have departed (at about 2:50), we will have all cars go through the bus lane. Please pull down as far as you can, as your child will be called from their classroom when you arrive. Please do not arrive early, as that will cause an even bigger back up than usual. If someone picks up your student for you, please share this information with them.
